Four people were injured when a single-engine airplane crashed into some trees as it was taking off a runway around 6:30 p.m. in Wing South Airpark, a private airpark on Skyway Drive, off of Rattlesnake Hammock Road, in East Naples.
Of the four people on the plane, two escaped with minor injuries, one had serious injuries and one was in critical condition, said East Naples fire Capt. Domingo Chinea. The man in serious condition was loaded onto an ambulance with a cast on his arm and blood on his face.
