Officials with the Lee County Sheriff’s Office are at the Cape Coral Police Department investigating a suspicious package found in the parking lot.

Starting December 16, Comcast customers in Lee and Collier counties and in Cape Coral will have some channels changed around on their analog channels. Charlotte County customers will not experience these changes.

Brigid O’Malley, the Collier County Sheriff’s Office’s public affairs manager and former crime reporter for the Daily News, has been reassigned to other duties while the agency conducts an internal investigation into her behavior. The Sheriff’s Office would not discuss details of the investigation or what prompted it, but agency spokeswoman Jamie Mosbach said the investigation was launched Tuesday night.
