East Naples area shedding its stigma as haven for crime

Numbers recently released by the Collier County Sheriff’s Office show that between 2005 and 2008, the neighborhoods have experienced a 60 percent decline in overall crime — from 18,288 service calls in 2005 to 7,191 calls so far in 2008.
