I heard that the chinese drywall is a potential problem in homes built between 2004 and 2006 — when the housing boom was especially high in Lee and Collier County Florida.

I made a quick posting about this as well as: Chinese Drywall in homes built between 2004-2006 in Lee County Florida and I have to wonder if a lot of Naples Florida homes quickly built in that time frame also have similar problems!

I look at my house, built in 2001, and there’s not a heck of a lot of copper to worry about. Outside there’s a short copper pipe that’s got the classic blue corrosion on it, but we have sulfur gas in our water ALREADY, so it’s hard to tell. But no copper teapots have been rotting away in our house, so it must be okay :)
