We found out statistics show only about 10 percent of Americans actually follow through with the goals they have set for the New Year. But health and money experts say taking it one day at a time is your best bet to stay on track.
According to a news release, Cape Coral middle school student Kishelly Brown created the signature poster for the 2009 Southwest Florida Wine & Food Fest. The annual event to be held this February benefits children’s charities, including The Children’s Hospital of Southwest Florida. Kishelly is an ongoing patient of the hospital.
Most everyone in Southwest Florida entered the new year peaceably. Collier County Sheriff’s Office supervisors reported a rash of noise complaints as the most notable occurrence from midnight Dec. 31 to noon Jan. 1. A total of 49 noise complaints were fielded over that 36-hour period, from all over the county. But a few others made their debuts to 2009 swinging, biting and shooting.
