The search is over for a 60-year-old East Naples woman. Susan Smith’s family said they hadn’t seen her since Saturday night. It turned out the woman didn’t even know her family was looking for her until she saw a report on NBC2.

She was nine years old before ever setting foot in a car, has never used a computer, and has never even heard of some of the classroom technology available today. However, Lorena Schmidt has one of the most impressive teaching resumes in Southwest Florida.

Cape Coral Council Member Tim Day asked the council to approve a motion to excuse fellow council member Eric Grill for the next 30 days while the sheriff’s office investigates allegations he took money for construction jobs, but never did any work.
